WHO WE ARE

The Ethiopian Eritrean Special Needs Community (EESNC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs and their families. EESNC adopts a family-centered approach, offering culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate information, training, tailored guidance, and referrals. Serving as a dynamic community hub and information-sharing platform, EESNC ensures easy access to vital resources and expertise. All training and workshops are conducted by board members fluent in Ethiopian and Eritrean languages with strong cultural competence. Our sessions are designed to be linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive.

We also maintain a roster of subject matter experts, culturally competent professionals, and community leaders who act as resource persons and provide referrals, enriching our programs and support for families and individuals with special needs.
